Melbourne-based Rebecca Quade & John Maclean are The Miller's Tale. The acoustic folk/pop duo, whose self titled 2001 mini album received national airplay and glowing reviews, are back with their much-anticipated full length album Wish it Away. Co-produced by Jackie Orszaczky and mixed by Chris Thompson (Augie March, The Waifs), the result is a stunning collection of finely crafted songs.
The entire album displays a maturing of The Miller's Tale's unique songwriting style - and an irresistibly intimate combination of warm acoustic melodies, sweet vocals and magical harmonies. It promises to be an album to delight the hearts of old fans as well as win the hearts of many more.
A delicate perfectly balanced piece of melody and emotion. Very very nice. - The Brag's review of the first single from album ("Elbow Room"), June 2004.
