Claire Anne Taylor grew up in Tasmania's ancient Tarkine rainforest, where she was born into her father's hands in the family barn amongst her five siblings. Taylor's music reflects the wild, rich and creative world she was immersed in as a child. She has a uniquely powerful voice that stirs the deepest emotions, opens the heart and starts a wildfire inside.
Taylor crafts soulful folk songs that take audiences on a journey of raw honesty. Her music ranges from warm, mesmerising ballads to epic anthems. Taylor’s stage presence is powerfully captivating and her live shows leave the audience in no doubt that they have just witnessed something extraordinary.
After winning the Byron Bluesfest Buskers Competition, Taylor relocated to Byron Bay to record her debut album, ‘Elemental’ - to be released March 2016. She has recently performed at shows and festivals in Tasmania and Western Australia in January/February 2016 to support the release of ‘Judge’, the first single from the album. The song has received airplay on Radio National, Triple J, ABC and community stations since its release. An extensive tour will follow in March/April/May 2016 where Taylor will take her astonishing live show to towns and cities along the East Coast of Australia.
Having already performed at a number of festivals including Byron Bay Bluesfest, Splendour in the Grass and Mullum Music Festival, Taylor is primed to unleash her her soulful voice and passionate music on the world.
