Karma County's 5th Studio Album.
After three years away from the limelight Karma County are back with new inspiration, new energy, and a new album. Honest, open, fresh and warm, Pacifico, the ARIA-award-winning group's latest release, is a superb collection of 13 songs direct from the deep heart of the County.
Pacifico offers an intoxicating mix of blues, roots, loose jazz, spoken word and textured melodies. Ranging from the slow thick rhythms of a late summer night to tunes filled with the motion and space of a coastal road, all tracks capture the simplicity and depth for which Karma County are known and loved.
Track two on the album features the voice of Aussie screen legend Bryan Brown, who tells the story of Dexter and Sinistra, a tale capturing the grit, glory and complexities of a suburban love affair. The asphalt tinged tones of Brown are the perfect foil to the warm liquid melodies from the County - an album highlight.
Since their first release, Last Stop Heavenly Heights (1996), Karma County have forged a unique position in the Australian music industry with their distinctive blend of styles to construct intelligent, emotive songs and soundscapes.
